Annie Leibovitz Transforms Taylor Swift Into Rapunzel

Country music superstar Taylor Swift might be the last person one would expect to find featured in the pages of the Fairy Room, but this portrait is just too exquisite to pass up. Legendary photographer, Annie Leibovitz whisks the little girl from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania into the pages of the Brothers Grimm’s Rapunzel — though this portrait is less Grimm and much more enchanting, a nod to Disney’s delightful adaptation, Tangled.

Rapunzel was the natural choice for Swift, whose decision to straighten her signature curly blonde locks a few years ago caused such a commotion, it almost spun the Earth off its axis.

Swift’s Rapunzel currently appears in national magazine ads, the latest in the Dream Portraits series for Disney Parks that features Russell Brand as Captain Hook; Jack Black, Will Ferrell and Jason Segel as the Hitchhiking Ghosts: Phineas, Ezra and Gus; and Scarlett Johansson as Cinderella.
